staff - Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Coordinator, Preoperative - $31-43 per hour

Job Overview Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator (RN) – Preoperative Detroit Medical Center – DMC Sinai‑Grace Hospital Ongoing staff position 36 hours per week (12‑hour shifts) Responsibilities Lead and serve as a resource for nursing personnel. Coordinate staffing, shift assignments, and nurse–patient ratios to maintain appropriate ratios. Facilitate shared decision‑making among staff and improve unit throughput and length of stay (LOS). Organize and deliver in‑service training to support staff competence. Assist in hiring, retaining, mentoring, and evaluating nursing staff. Help develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the department. Participate in process improvement, peer review, and unit‑based quality initiatives. Provide input for nursing staff performance appraisals. Perform abbreviated patient care duties to support leadership responsibilities. Qualifications Associate’s degree or diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred). Registered Nursing license in the state of Michigan. 1–2 years of progressive nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities. Strong prioritization, delegation, and facilitation skills. Minimum Level 6 of the Promoting Excellence Performance Criteria (preferred for internal candidates). BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
