Registered Nurse - L&D/Postpartum

Nights 7 PM - 7 AM, Every 3rd Weekend, On-Call (must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of being called in)

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this position is a professional caregiver responsible for planning, providing, and directing patient care and education. The RN utilizes the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders while acting as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families.

Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, ensuring safety and educational needs are met.

Establish a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data and communicate this plan with all involved disciplines.

Implement and evaluate the plan of care, modifying as necessary based on patient status reassessment.

Complete all documentation according to established standards, utilizing appropriate documentation tools.

Assess patient readiness for learning and implement individualized education plans based on identified needs.

Participate in nursing department initiatives and contribute to health center and departmental committees.

Provide age-appropriate care to the specific population served, in alignment with organizational standards.

Adhere to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and professional standards.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.

At least 3 years of experience in OB, L&D, and/or Postpartum nursing.

Current unencumbered RN license in Ohio.

BLS certification (Required).

NRP certification (Required).

STABLE certification (Required).
