Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30 and 19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty required; travel experience may be accepted. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: MUST have 18 months of recent step down experience. Charge experience preferred but not required. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments must be completed with acceptable scores during orientation. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a step down unit. The unit provides care for patients recovering from cardiac surgeries. Nurses may be required to float to other units within the same patient population as necessary. The position includes rotating shifts between days and nights. Travelers must work at least every other holiday. All submissions must include two references from management in the specialty. All required certifications must be active with no pending issues. Candidates must be nicotine-free, and a negative drug screen is required within 12 months of start. Nurses must complete background checks and training modules as part of the onboarding process.
