About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license in hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Step Down experience; travel experience will suffice. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores required. - Traveler must work at least every other holiday. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a step down unit. The role may require floating to different units to care for a similar patient population. Only night shifts of 3x12s are available. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months combined experience, preferably in one location, but combined experience is acceptable. Candidates are required to have an active Ohio license or Compact State license. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory. ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments must be passed during orientation. Travelers will be allowed a maximum of two attempts to pass these assessments. Candidates must not have any open background cases or license issues. Additional compliance requirements regarding nicotine use are applicable. Travelers may be considered for extensions post the initial contract period, subject to specific conditions.
