About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: - 18 months of combined permanent experience in specialty required. - Recent step down experience preferred. License: - Permanent Ohio license required. - Compact licenses accepted for eligible starts. Certifications: - BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - Must work every other holiday. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate completion required during orientation. Description: Join a step down care nursing team providing critical care following surgery. Prepare to work rotating shifts, including day and night. Must have experience within the specialty applying for, ideally within one location but combined experience is acceptable. Travel experience is considered for applicants. An active permanent Ohio license is necessary. Required certifications must be current and active without any pending items. References from supervisors in the specialty are needed. Candidates may float to other units to care for similar patient populations. There will be variable shifts that may be adjusted based on operational needs. Candidates should be aware that background checks are reviewed, and open cases will affect eligibility. Compliance with nicotine-free requirements is mandatory for all candidates except for those in specified roles. Annual modules are expected to be completed, and billable hours may apply for training. Candidates may extend their contract duration with stipulations outlined by the organization.
