About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for required. License: Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Step Down experience, travel experience will suffice. - Perm Ohio license or Compact State license in hand. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation. - Must work every other holiday. Description: This position is for a Step Down unit. The role may involve floating to other units to care for the same patient population. Night shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. A minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty is preferred, but can be from different locations. Candidates must have current certifications with no pending status. References from managers, supervisors, or directors in the specialty are required for submission. Only candidates with an acceptable score on both the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will pass orientation. Candidates will receive two attempts to pass these assessments; otherwise, they will be canceled. Background checks will be reviewed, and open cases will not be accepted. Compliance with nicotine-free requirements may vary based on position. All other travelers must be nicotine-free. Drug screens must be negative for nicotine within 12 months of the start date. Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to the facility for one year after their previous end date. Extensions with the client may be possible based on approval. Modules may be required annually, and average hours will vary by specialty.
