Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt (32 - 40 hours a week)

Experience Required: 1–2 years in a dental or medical front office

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of front-office experience in a dental office setting and is comfortable managing patient schedules, insurance verification, and front-desk operations in a fast-paced environment.

This role is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key part in creating a positive, professional, and welcoming office experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a warm and professional manner

• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments according to the practice’s scheduling protocol and expectations

• Verify patient information, insurance eligibility, and benefits

• Collect copays, balances, and payments at the time of service

• Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries

• Proactive patient recall phone call follow-up

• Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system, Open Dental

• Coordinate with clinical and billing teams to ensure smooth patient flow

• Process new patient paperwork and consent forms

• Follow office policies for HIPAA compliance and confidentiality

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent

• 1–2 years of experience in a dental front office

• Bilingual (English/Spanish or other language)

• Knowledge of common dental procedures and terminology

• Familiar with dental insurance verification and scheduling

• Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Open Dental, Yapi, Ring Central)

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Basic computer proficiency
