Maintenance Technician

Job title: Maintenance Technician
Duration: Full time
Location: Burlington, NC

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3-2 rotation.
Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. | 1 opening | $26.50 $31.50/hour
Night Shift: 7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m. | 2 openings | $28.00 $33.00/hour, including $1.50 shift differential
Experience: 3 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food/beverage, CPG, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Repair or replace motors, bearings, belts, sensors, drives, and control components.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and basic automation systems.
• Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Document maintenance activities in a CMMS and support spare-parts inventory.
• Follow GMP, food safety, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Coordinate with production teams to prioritize repairs, minimize downtime, and escalate major equipment failures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school preferred.
• Knowledge of AC/DC motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical drive systems.
• Working knowledge of 480V, 220V, 110V, and 24VDC electrical systems.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
