Front Desk Security Officer

SMI Security is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Front Desk Security Officer to join our security team at a high-rise residential building. This position is ideal for an experienced security professional who understands the importance of maintaining a professional front-desk presence while providing excellent customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and building personnel. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently during the overnight hours, utilizing computer software, managing package-related responsibilities, and maintaining a professional and welcoming presence at the front desk. Position Details: Position: Front Desk Security Officer. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour. Location: High-Rise Residential Building. Shift: Overnight. Primary Responsibilities: Maintain a professional and visible security presence at the building's front desk. Monitor and control access to the property in accordance with established security procedures. Greet and assist residents, guests, vendors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Verify visitors and provide appropriate access while following property security protocols. Receive, document, organize, and properly secure packages in accordance with building procedures. Accurately enter package information and other required information into computer-based systems. Utilize computer software and electronic systems to complete daily security and front-desk responsibilities. Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation throughout the shift. Monitor building activity and promptly report unusual, suspicious, or emergency situations. Communicate effectively with property management and SMI Security management when assistance is required. Work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and following post orders. Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and customer-service standard at all times. Perform other security and front-desk responsibilities as assigned. Candidate Qualifications: SMI is looking for a mature, dependable, and professional individual who can demonstrate: Previous front desk, concierge, residential security, or customer-service experience preferred. Previous experience working with computer software and electronic systems . Experience handling packages and maintaining accurate package logs is strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to remain professional and composed when dealing with residents, guests, and challenging situations. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable attendance and the ability to report to work on time for every scheduled shift. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, post orders, and company policies. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are strongly preferred. Must meet all applicable Florida security licensing and employment requirements.
