Join a clinical psychology team in Stockton, CA—providing care to justice-involved adults in a correctional setting full-time with earning potential over $370k/year.

Job Highlights

●      Title: Contract Psychologist (Forensic / Correctional)
●      Location: Adult men’s state correctional facility – Stockton, CA
●      Contract Type: 6–12 month relief contract (ASAP start)
●      Schedule: Full-time in-person 40 hours/week ; 4x10 weekday schedules.
●      Earning Potential: $370,240/year
●      Setting: Adult men’s correctional psychology , high acuity, SUD and justice-involved patients

Top qualifications:

●      PhD or PsyD in Psychology required.
●      Active California psychology license required.
●     At least 12 months of adult psychology experience in the last 3 years.
●      BLS certification and professional malpractice insurance required.
●     Experience in correctional, forensic, or high-risk behavioral health settings preferred.
●     Comfortable working with justice-involved populations and interdisciplinary teams.

Role Overview

This assignment is at an adult men’s correctional facility in Stockton, California , serving high-acuity patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders. You’ll provide psychological assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and group/individual services within a secure, structured clinical environment.

Key Details & Requirements

●      Start date: ASAP .
●      Schedule: Full-time 40 hours/week ; Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri 7AM-5PM.
●      EHR: Cerner EHR in use; familiarity or quick learning is expected.
●      Orientation: Up to 40 hours of orientation is required.
●      Compliance & Screening:

• Criminal background check required
• Drug test required.
• CALPERS affidavit required.
• Current state employees are not eligible .
