Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: 78215
Pay: $22.00-23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position: Temporary (Approx. 6 Months)

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the accounting team by researching and resolving customer payment deductions while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely follow-up.

Responsibilities

Research, analyze, and process customer deductions, including shortages, damages, freight, trade promotions, and sample deductions.
Submit repayment requests to customers and brokers when deductions are determined to be invalid.
Retrieve supporting documentation from customer portals.
Request and obtain backup documentation from customers and brokers.
Maintain accurate records of deduction activity and resolution status.
Communicate with internal departments and external partners to resolve outstanding accounts.

Qualifications

2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Accounting experience.
Experience researching and resolving customer deductions.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
