In this role, you will be supporting the overall mission of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), assigned to the Legal Forfeiture Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. If you are looking for a meaningful, mission driven career, Join FSA!This position will be assigned to the Legal Forfeiture Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the management of forfeiture cases for his/her team, conducting research and legal reviews, drafting legal documents, etc.Under supervision, assists attorneys with the litigation process.Reviews work of paralegals and clerks.Prepares all documents related to the litigation process to include drafting motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.Screens documents for privilege.The ideal candidate will be organized, possess strong writing skills, and communicate effectively with members of the unit and other individuals throughout the FBI.Legal writing sample may be requestedPerforms other duties as assigned.Preferred Requirement:The ideal candidate will be organized, possess strong writing skills, and communicate effectively with members of the unit and other individuals throughout the FBI.RequirementsLaw Degree: or currently a student at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one-year completedExperience conducting legal research using various research tools and law library resourcesExcellent communication skills; oral and written, to include legal writing skillsStrong organizational and prioritization skillsExperience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other common software applications, to include databasesAbility to work in a team environment, deliver the highest quality of work, and maintain a professional disposition under extreme pressureThis position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.** NOTE: The 20% pay differential is dependent upon the customer's order for services and requires an Active Top-Secret security clearance.Agency OverviewThe mission of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States.
