Job Overview The Manager, HR Business Partner is a highly visible, hands‑on, customer‑focused position responsible for partnering with leadership across new and existing service lines to achieve business objectives throughout the employee life cycle. The role collaborates with Ryan business leaders to provide human‑resources support through effective communication, innovation, and proactive outreach, and includes responsibility for international service lines in Canada, the United Kingdom, and future countries. Facilitate regular meetings with Principals and Practice Leaders to review talent and structural needs and pursue opportunities for action. Coordinate smooth onboarding experiences for new employees. Handle employee relations and grievance issues, including investigations and resolution. Communicate transfers, promotions, departures, and other status changes for assigned practice areas. Oversee immigration and expat assignment coordination with Legal. Develop practice‑specific compensation programs, job descriptions, and salary structures. Maintain accurate HRMS data, including status changes, promotions, salary updates, and corrective actions. Create and maintain HR metrics and management reports; write queries and dashboards using appropriate tools. Assist in due diligence and integration processes for acquisitions. Ensure HR policies and content are current and compliant with employment law. Establish and maintain vendor relationships; vet and obtain legal approval for contracts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. Minimum five to seven years of progressively responsible HR management experience. International and M&A experience preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, internet navigation and research. Proficiency in HRMS, performance management systems, learning management systems, and applicant tracking systems. Preferred Microsoft Access proficiency. Professional HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, GPHR) preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Direct supervisory responsibilities over HR team members.
