Cardiologist Opportunity At Cottage Hospital

Cottage Hospital is seeking a Cardiologist to join our growing rural healthcare team in northern New Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and expand cardiology services within a collaborative critical access hospital setting while making a meaningful impact on patient care throughout the region.

The Cardiologist will provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiology care to adult patients, including outpatient evaluations, inpatient consults, and interpretation of diagnostic testing. This role works closely with primary care providers, hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, nursing staff, and administration to coordinate high-quality cardiovascular care and improve patient access to specialty services locally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient non-invasive cardiology services for adult patients
• Conduct inpatient cardiology consultations as needed
• Interpret and oversee diagnostic testing including:
• Echocardiograms
• Stress testing
• Cardiac monitors/Holter monitoring
• Nuclear stress tests
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate cardiovascular care
• Assist with the development and growth of cardiology services within the organization
• Support patient education and preventative cardiovascular care initiatives
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree required
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Hampshire
• DEA certification or eligibility
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease preferred
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in non-invasive cardiology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in rural healthcare and community-based medicine
• Ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit hospital environment
• Experience interpreting echocardiograms and stress testing preferred
• Interest in helping shape and grow a developing cardiology program
