Inventory Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the site Materials Manager, the Inventory Supervisor ensures the accuracy of the facility's inventory by performing cycle counts and audits; identifying the root cause for discrepancies and assisting in developing corrective actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Ensure inventory is accurate by performing regular cycle counts using ERP software. Work as team member with Inventory Control and others to perform accurate and efficient cycle counts on regular schedule as required. Maintain and update inventory records. Perform lot # verification as needed. Conduct routine parts checks to resolve issues. Review receiving discrepancy inspection and resolution. Perform other inventory control tasks as needed. Enter and review inter-company and transfer transactions. Reconcile inventory discrepancies. Assist with Supply Room Receiving activities and cycle counts. Other related duties as assigned. PRIMARY COMPETENCIES:

High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of inventory control experience. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft programs. Experience with ERP’s. Ability to detect problems, problem solve and report information to appropriate channels. Ability to read, write, perform arithmetic. Knowledge of manufacturing parts/material. Knowledge of bill of materials/process routings. Attention to detail. Records maintenance skills. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Supervises inventory administrators.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and wireless scanning devices. Time spent on production floor will be necessary for completing certain aspects of position thus exposure to seasonally hot and humid conditions, dust, noise and other elements will occur.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Sitting 80% Standing 10% Walking 10%

POITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time exempt position supporting a multi-shift facility. Work hours are set at the plant level with expected Monday-Friday and additional weekend hours when necessary to complete work activities.
