LTC Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated LTC Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team at a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate should have experience in a nursing home setting, possess supervisory skills, and be capable of medication administration.

Job Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform medical assessments.
• Provide wound care, Foley care, and ostomy care.
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Train Medical Assistants (TMAs).
• Manage patient records and documentation as per facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a nursing home or similar setting.
• Must Have Skills:
  • Medication administration
  • Supervisory skills
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
• Previous Travel Experience: Not required

Patient Care and Facility Information

This facility specializes in caring for patients with various diagnoses, including COPD, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and congestive heart failure. The nursing ratios include 1 nurse for 20 residents during the day and evening shifts, and 1 nurse for 40 residents during the night shift.

• No IVs or titratable drips required.
• Nurses do not read EKG strips.
• Physician availability after hours is provided.
• Medication is dispensed via blister pack cards, with an on-site pharmacy.
• Block scheduling is available based on facility needs.
