Senior Accountant

Salary: USD36 - USD39 per hour Beacon Hill is collaborating with a non-profit in Manhattan to bring a Senior Accountant to their growing team.This role will serve as the organization's primary internal accounting resource, taking ownership of the general ledger, month-end close process, financial reporting accuracy, and accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Own and maintain the organization's general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting Review journal entries, account coding, allocations, and financial transactions for accuracy across multiple funding sources and programs Investigate accounting discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions Collaborate with external accounting partners to review financial data, resolve issues, and ensure timely completion of accounting deliverables Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash activity to support accurate financial reporting Assist with revenue recognition, restricted funds tracking, grant accounting, and funder reporting requirements Support annual audits and prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for auditors Yes, I am currently eligible to work (work permit/visa/citizenship) in the country to which I am applying.
