Job Opportunity – Behavioral Health Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 18:45-07:15; 36-48 hours per week; Every other weekend required; No call requirement; 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience required
• BLS and MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) or CPI certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with locked unit environments, substance use/chemical dependency, diverse psychiatric disorders
• Proficiency in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and managing assaultive behavior
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications including antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and antianxiety agents
• Competency in physical hold protocols, seclusion procedures, and emergent chemical restraints
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
