ResponsibilitiesDuties include:Planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications (AWS)Managing cloud environments in accordance with company and sponsor security guidelinesDeploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycleDesign, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems and solutions in accordance with best practicesEmploying exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize and solve issues before they snowball into problemsAssist sponsor with evaluating new cloud technologies as they become available in the enterpriseCollaborate with other developers and engineers to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutionsConfigure and monitor Linux installations including standard Linux utilities and shell scriptsCreate and configure secure cloud resources in AWSConfigure high-volume data flows using NiFiPerform custom data transformations from standard or proprietary formats to other formats (often based on JSON or XML)QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with Polygraph requiredBachelor's degree + 5 years of experience, or master's degree + 3 years of experience4 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degreeAt least two years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:Creating or Configuring AWS resources such as SNS, SQS, EC2, or S3, especially using CloudFormation or TerraformConfiguring or Troubleshooting Linux servers/instances in a production environmentImplementing production software/scripts in a language such as Java, Python, Bash, C, or othersConfiguring Network resources and incorporating Cybersecurity, including subnetting, routing, DNS, TLS, PKI infrastructure, SAML, OAuth or IPsecPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
