Job Description
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects within the property industry.
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to determine material and labor requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure alignment on project budgets and timelines.
- Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to achieve cost efficiency.
- Identify potential risks and provide solutions to mitigate budgetary or timeline concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and project documentation.
- Support the construction team with cost-related insights throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, costs, and best practices to enhance estimation accuracy.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Estimator should have:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and cost estimation techniques in the property industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Proven ability to analyze data and provide accurate cost projections.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in construction estimation.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
