Mechanical Assembly Technician

Mechanical Assembly Technician Pay Rate $20 per hour Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday, 5:00am-3:30pm Duties and Responsibilities Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished equipment using hand and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications. Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustments to ensure proper operation. Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot assembly issues and make necessary corrections. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S principles. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production goals. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or a related technical field preferred. Ability to read measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers. Ability to interpret assembly drawings and technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Basic computer skills for documentation and production reporting. Preferred Qualifications Technical school or vocational training in mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or related field. Experience with conveyor systems, industrial equipment, or manufacturing assembly. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
