Accounting Supervisor

Supervising general accounting activities Maintaining systems for accurate accounting for company resources Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of transactions in financial control system Providing various management reports Compiling complete and accurate trial balance Preparing account analyses and related adjusting entries Ensuring compliance with the company’s accounting policies Reviewing staff documentation for accuracy Performing internal reviews to verify accuracy of general ledger accounts Overseeing lease activity and necessary updates to process procedures Supervising general ledger staff (planning, assigning, directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring) Requirements A bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting Minimum of seven (7) years of experience Up-to-date knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Experience with project costing Financial statement analysis Accounting software Microsoft Office Experience working with foreign currencies (preferred) Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex accounting regulations Ability to author policies and procedures, reports, business correspondence Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to problems Ability to deal with complex interpersonal situations Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record Satisfactory completion of a background check Hard Skills General accounting Financial control system Trial balance Account analyses Adjusting entries Generally accepted accounting principles Project costing Financial statement analysis Accounting software Foreign currencies Soft Skills Supervising Mentoring Interpersonal skills Analytical skills Problem-solving Communication Policy authoring Report writing Attention to detail Logical thinking Certifications & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
