Senior Collections Specialist - National Accounts

LHH is seeking a skilled Senior Collections Specialist to join our client in Charlotte, NC. This position will manage a portfolio of national accounts and support timely cash flow across a large, diverse customer base. This role requires strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and advanced Excel proficiency to track, analyze, and resolve outstanding balances. The ideal candidate is comfortable partnering with large corporate customers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues while maintaining positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage collections for a high-volume portfolio of national and strategic customer accounts

· Proactively contact customers via phone and email regarding past-due balances and payment commitments

· Analyze aging reports and payment trends to prioritize collection efforts

· Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short pays, and disputed invoices

· Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity and customer communication

· Prepare and maintain detailed Excel reports, including aging analysis, cash forecasts, and collection metrics

· Partner with billing, AR, sales, and customer service teams to resolve payment issues efficiently

· Recommend escalation or account holds when necessary, in line with company policy

Qualifications

· 2+ years of collections or accounts receivable experience, preferably with national or large corporate accounts

· Strong Excel skills required (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis)

· Experience working with ERP or accounting systems

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and problem-solve independently

· Professional, persistent, and customer-focused approach to collections

Compensation & Schedule:

· $70,000 - $80,000

· Fully onsite; Monday - Friday

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
