Structural Engineer
Our local engineering client is seeking to add a Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of commercial, institutional, and industrial building projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support structural design efforts through all project phases
- Develop structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Design building structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
- Analyze gravity, lateral, and foundation loading conditions
- Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors
- Review shop drawings and respond to construction-related RFIs
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, quality standards, and project requirements
- Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of structural design experience
- EIT or PE Licensed
- Experience designing commercial/institutional building structures
- Strong understanding of structural systems, building codes, and value engineering
- Proficiency with Revit
