Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Roving Deterrence Patrol in El Monte, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, lobby areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe foot traffic, and support visitor processing in accordance with site protocols while maintaining a professional presence and providing clear directions or assistance when needed.
- Complete routine reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or policy-related observations, and relay important information during shift changes or to Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
