Detailed Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from diverse age groups, utilizing standardized assessments along with observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment strategies addressing immediate objectives and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personal speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work together with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, caregivers, and families to formulate effective care plans.
• Provide education for patients and their families to support progress beyond the therapy room.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a cohesive experience throughout the care process.
• Keep precise and timely records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborate with peers to stay updated on advancements in the field.

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Licenses and Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of joining.
