We are currently seeking a Systems Integration Specialist Advisor to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Purpose:

ICBC Standard Bank is seeking an experienced Automation Developer to design, implement, and

maintain automated regression test suites across key vendor applications. The role involves automating

both UI and backend scenarios, improving automation coverage, and embedding high-quality

engineering practices across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate will have strong Java development experience, proven UI automation expertise with

Selenium, and hands-on experience using modern CI/CD pipelines. They must also take full ownership

of test coverage metrics and drive continuous improvements in quality and automation maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

· Work with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and technical teams to understand the

functional and technical aspects of the application.

· Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure high quality and timely delivery of new tests.

· Maintain and enhance the test automation environment as well as the suite of functional tests.

· Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and be a self-starter.

· Deliver exploratory testing to resolve issues and meet new requirements, continually learning and adapting where necessary. · Design, develop, and maintain automated regression tests for UI workflows, API/backend processes, and integration paths across the applications. · Implement automation using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber/Gherkin. · Drive continuous improvements to test coverage and keep up with test suite’s performance metrics · Own, track, and report automated test coverage on an ongoing basis, including identifying gaps and proposing improvements. · Establish and maintain automated test coverage dashboards, metrics, and reporting for stakeholders. · Use tools such as SonarQube (code quality scanning) and Sonatype/Nexus IQ (dependency/security scanning) to ensure test code adheres to quality and security standards. · Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar CI/CD systems. · Conduct regular reviews of automation reliability, flakiness, and performance. · Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and story refinement to ensure testability is built into requirements. · Document test scenarios, test data flows, and automation architecture clearly and consistently. · Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and business teams to support releases and ensure automation coverage aligns with critical business processes. · Drive continuous improvement in automation frameworks, coding practices, and test processes.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values:

· 5+ years’ experience in automation testing.

· Experience with API Testing.

· At least 2 years of SQL/PLSQL experience and working knowledge of relational databases.

· Strong Java development experience (Java 8/11/17/21).

· Expert-level experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.

· Strong knowledge of Cucumber/Gherkin BDD frameworks.

· Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks using POM (Page Object Model) or other

design patterns.

· Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps or similar

CI/CD pipelines.

· Ability to automate backend/API tests, including REST or database validations.

· Experience with:

· - Git/GitHub/Bitbucket

· - Maven/Gradle

· - SonarQube for code quality checks

· - Sonatype (Nexus IQ) for dependency and security scanning

· Experience troubleshooting test environment issues, data dependencies, and flakiness

· Strong ownership mindset—comfortable taking responsibility for coverage, quality, and stability.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to present test coverage metrics to stakeholders.

· Logical thinker with strong debugging and root‑cause analysis skills.

· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams.

· Works collaboratively within cross-functional Agile teams.

· Proactive and self-driven; able to identify issues before they become risks.

· Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, frameworks, and vendor platforms.

Beneficial knowledge/experience

· Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

· Experience in testing financial services systems.

· Experience with API automation frameworks (RestAssured, Karate, Postman). · Familiarity with Docker, container-based test execution, or cloud-hosted automation. · Knowledge of service virtualization, mocks, stubs, and test data management strategies. · Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling). · Exposure to vendor platforms such as Fenergo (FenX) or Markit EDM
