Lead Medical Assistant

MedStaff Group is seeking a highly experienced and capable Lead Medical Assistant to take a key leadership role within a busy, fast-paced medical practice in Cedarhurst.

This position requires someone who can take ownership of the clinical floor, lead the MA team, and ensure providers and patients are supported efficiently throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the Medical Assistant team and daily clinical workflow
• Delegate responsibilities and ensure staff accountability
• Train, mentor, and support new and existing Medical Assistants
• Coordinate closely with providers to keep patient flow running efficiently
• Oversee room preparation, supplies, labs, specimens, vaccines, and clinical procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within eClinicalWorks (eCW)
• Monitor clinical standards, infection control, and proper documentation
• Troubleshoot workflow issues and take initiative to resolve problems
• Step in and work hands-on as a Medical Assistant whenever needed
• Serve as the primary point person between the MA team, providers, and management

Requirements:

• Strong Medical Assistant experience required
• Strong eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is REQUIRED
• Previous Lead MA, Senior MA, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical and medical-office workflows
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Must be comfortable managing staff and holding team members accountable
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Dependable, proactive, and able to take ownership with minimal supervision

Compensation: $25$30 per hour
