Attorney-Adviser (General)

Position located at Office of Government Ethics, Ethics Transparency and Assistance Division. As an Attorney‑Adviser (General), you will produce written work and carry out assignments based on research of statutes, regulations, Executive Orders, case law, and other writings that support the administration of the government‑wide ethics program and an Executive Branch agency. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full‑time work; part‑time work is considered on a prorated basis. Applicant Qualification Requirements Be a graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association at the time of graduation; AND Be a current member of a bar with a valid license to practice law in a state or territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Specialized Experience Requirements GS‑15: Minimum 4-½ years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney. Must include 3 years of experience related to employment law or administrative law. GS‑14: Minimum 3 years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney. Must include 2 years of experience related to employment law or administrative law.
