Responsibilities include:

• Delivering tailored English instruction to special education students, adapting content and teaching strategies to meet individual educational plans (IEPs)
• Collaborating with other educators, support staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Developing, tracking, and updating IEPs in compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Assessing student progress, modifying instructional techniques as necessary, and maintaining detailed records of growth and needs
• Creating a safe, encouraging space where students feel empowered and supported in their learning journey
• Participating in parent-teacher conferences, ongoing professional development, and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Implementing classroom management strategies and positive behavioral interventions

Desired qualifications:

• Current special education certification, with appropriate endorsements in English

• Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance requirements
