Full-time associates are also eligible for an annual bonus incentive. Temporary associates are not benefit-eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program. Brookdale supports associates on their path to U.S. citizenship by offering up to $725 in naturalization fee advancement for qualified associates who have been with us at least one year. Responsibilities The Regional Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with associates and management for communities within an assigned region, acting as a consultant on human-resource-related issues, culture driver, associate champion, and change agent. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation related to hiring, compensation, performance management, benefits, and other associate matters. Manage and resolve complex associate relations issues; conduct thorough investigations. Monitor associate counseling, corrective action, performance improvement plans; oversee involuntary termination procedures; approve separation notices and related documentation; conduct exit interviews as needed. Advise leadership on hiring decisions, equal-employment opportunity, compensation, benefits, health and safety issues. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day associate management; partner with the legal department as required. Conduct wage analysis to review local market data; partner with the Compensation COE on adjustments and make recommendations based on business needs. Analyze trends and HR metrics to develop solutions and programs; work with operational leadership on talent strategies. Partner with the Talent Management COE to identify training opportunities and implement talent initiatives. Partner with the Associate Relations COE and operational leadership to investigate Integrity Line alerts promptly. Work with Corporate HRD on acquisitions and dispositional community transitions, ensuring associates receive proper communication and support. Promote positive associate relations through surveys, climate studies, and skip-level meetings. Respond to union organizing; train managers on appropriate steps; collaborate with Associate Relations, legal, and operational leadership to minimize risk. Represent the organization in legal proceedings as needed, partnering with the Legal department. This job description represents an overview of the responsibilities for the referenced position. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Minimum five years of experience as an HR Generalist or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred. Management/Decision Making Uses strong analytic skills and an in-depth understanding of the organization to handle arising problems; solves diverse problems with solid analysis where limited precedents exist. Knowledge and Skills Advanced working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, associate relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
