Senior Accountant

In this role, you will take ownership of the general ledger and month-end close processes, playing a crucial part in our financial reporting function. Your expertise will ensure that our financial data is accurate and timely, supporting confident decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, promptly investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are substantiated and documented.
Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
Identify and implement improvements to the close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy.
Partner with leadership to ensure financial data is audit-ready and decision-ready at all times.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls around the close and reporting cycle.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred.
3-5 years of accounting experience with a clear focus on general ledger and month-end close.
Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems.
Strong command of Google Sheets and Excel.
Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tight close deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

CPA license or progress toward professional certification.
Exposure to AI tools or automated accounting workflows.

Full-time remote position.
Compensation:

The national pay range for this position is $110, 000, $150, 000 USD annually. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and performance-based bonuses may also be available, depending on the role and company policies.
