Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse needed in the Medical Surgical specialty. The nurse will provide care to patients with general medical and surgical diagnoses. Patient ratios will be 1:5-6. Orientation will consist of 40 hours of training. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend coverage is required every other week. There will be no on-call requirement. The nurse will float to other units as needed. The facility has a total of 110 staffed beds. Staffing and scheduling will not accommodate block schedules. Daily census is approximately 38 patients with a total of 41 rooms. Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy. Special equipment and procedures may be utilized in the unit. Skills preferred include administration of chemotherapy and charge nurse experience. The position requires monitoring and management of chemotherapy, as well as peripheral line care. The nurse should possess skills in feeding tube care and management and non-invasive airway management. All travelers will float within the service line as necessary. This position offers guaranteed hours with 3 shifts per 13 weeks. Please ensure to complete all compliance requirements by the established deadlines.
