Location: Plano, TX
Unit Type: Burn Trauma ICU
Number of Beds: 30
Number of Staff: 85
Patient Ratios: 2:1 for ICU; 4:1 for PCU

Team Information

Day Shift: 1 CNC/Relief Charge; RNs and PCTs based on census
Night Shift: 1 CNC/Relief Charge; RNs and PCTs based on census

Equipment and Technology

Type of Equipment: Critical Care Equipment for Burn ICU and Trauma ICU
Technology: EMR - Meditech

Qualifications

Required Skills

Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU experience
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
CCRN Certification

Typical Procedures

Wound care
Codes
External Ventricular Drains (EVDs)
Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP)

Ideal Candidate

Floating Area

Possible float to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit.

Dress Code

Scrub Color/Attire: Royal Blue

Weekend Requirement

Two weekends per pay period required.
