Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: IN State License required Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: - Must be able to perform general X-ray. - Multi-modality CT/XR Technologist. - Comfortable working alone at times. Description: Please confirm your traveler is fully aware of and comfortable with the required shifts in order to move forward with submission. Shift: Fri/Sat 6p-6a. Call is required up to 4-5 times a month, including holidays. One weekend shift per month and 1-2 weekdays may be required. First-timers are accepted. Weekend work is required. A candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Preferred skills include Abdomen without and/or with contrast, Adult Acute Care, and Emergency Department experience. Candidates should be familiar with Siemens, Carestream Portable, and Philips equipment. Daily responsibilities include performing CT scans on inpatients and outpatients, both adult and pediatric. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a total of 153 staffed beds. Charting will be done using a specified system. The candidate will have access to a range of imaging equipment including two CT scanners. Special procedures may include biopsies, aspirations, and emergency scans. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in contrast media preparation and administration. Interdisciplinary support is available on the unit. A strong emphasis will be placed on patient safety and care continuity. This position may require candidates to float to similar units as needed. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is expected.
