Cable Technician

2–3+ years of experience in fiber optic, telecom, network infrastructure, Hands-on experience with fiber optic cable installation, routing, termination, and fusion splicing Experience performing fiber testing and troubleshooting using tools such as OTDRs, light source/power meters, VFLs, and fiber certification equipment Strong understanding of fiber optic network standards, cable management, pathway installation, and industry best practices Ability to read and interpret splice diagrams, fiber schematics, test results, and technical documentation Nice to Have Skills & Experience Associate's degree or equivalent technical/military experience Experience with single-mode and multimode fiber, MPO/MTP connectivity, and fiber distribution systems Familiarity with both inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) fiber environments Experience with structured cabling installations, including copper and fiber infrastructure OSHA, CFOT, BICSI, FOA, NFPA 70E, or other relevant safety/industry certifications Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Fiber Technician II / Fiber Splicer to support fiber optic infrastructure projects across client environments.
