Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Every third or fourth weekend required | On-call required, scheduled in collaboration with staff

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, TAVR, device implantations, and related interventions
• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related nursing specialty
• Ability to complete new hire onboarding, organizational entry competency validation, and department-specific competency validation within required timeframes

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Background in critical care settings
• Familiarity with TAVR procedures and cardiac device management
