Location: Brooklyn, Michigan Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:30 AM4:30 PM; Saturdays and overtime as deemed necessary | Pay Rate: $18.00/hourEmployment Type: [Full-Time/Temp-to-Hire]

About the Role

Cardinal Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Team Leader Assistant for a reputable employer in Brooklyn, Michigan. This is a hands-on production leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Team Leader Assistant works closely with the Team Leader to provide guidance, instruction, direction, and support to production employees while helping the team achieve production, quality, and safety goals. This position also works directly alongside production employees while taking on additional leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive workplace culture while promoting a team-oriented environment.
• Oversee the day-to-day flow of production on the assigned line.
• Work with the Team Leader to ensure products are completed on time and according to customer specifications.
• Support production employees to ensure accurate and timely production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist the Team Leader with accurately completing work order paperwork.
• Routinely inspect products for quality, packaging, labeling, and overall appearance.
• Communicate and help correct product nonconformance or quality concerns.
• Mentor and engage new employees to help them become comfortable, confident, and involved with the team.
• Monitor work conditions and help ensure safety rules and guidelines are followed.
• Identify production problems and areas for improvement and work with the Team Leader to implement corrective actions or improved procedures.
• Ensure production employees follow GMPs, company policies, and applicable certifications.
• Participate in safety and SOP meetings and model safe workplace behaviors.
• Communicate and support the goals and mission of the facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and at times stressful production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, twist, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to routinely handle physical production work and lift up to 50 pounds at times.
