Electrician/Traffic Signal Technician

Who we are looking for: Someone with a High school diploma or GED, along with three (3) years of electrical experience in installation, maintenance, and repair—or completion of an electrical apprenticeship. Possession of a Journeyman Electrician's license with working knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) standards. A valid driver's license with the ability to be insured on the city's insurance plan. Ability to obtain Work Zone Safety certification within 6 (six) months of employment. Willingness to respond to emergency call-outs and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug and alcohol screening, and physical agility assessment. Experience with repair work of street lighting. What You'll Do: Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of electrical systems, including street lighting, traffic signals, high-voltage equipment, and facility systems. Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical issues to keep critical infrastructure operating safely and efficiently. Operate tools and equipment—including bucket trucks—to complete electrical work in the field.
