Many of BCI's clients are world leaders in their industries, which span a wide variety of industry segments including entertainment, broadcast, medical, professional audio/video, house of worship, education, government, military, and transportation.Job Summary We are looking for a talented and motivated individual as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Video & Audio systems. The right candidate will have the opportunity to be a contributor in ensuring the quality of our Pro AV products. The Quality Assurance Engineer will collaborate with Engineering and Production Departments to ensure overall integrity and adherence to product specifications prior to product release and/or shipment. This position requires ownership of internal implementation of processes and procedures, training, and documentation creation. This is an on-site position (not remote or hybrid).Key Responsibilities:Ownership of all aspects of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.Measure, test, evaluate, and document product performance to assure compliance with appropriate customer and company specifications including Verification, Validation and Qualification testing.Inspect products, perform failure and quality related analysis that relies on Quality and Manufacturing principles, including process management, statistical analysis, and human factors.Work with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, & signal generators.Plan the Quality workload, including scheduling and charting (including PERT/CPM, Pareto, Gantt, etc.), identification of resource requirements, risk, and oversee execution to the plan.Lead the resolution of customer and internal issues regarding product quality, with the aim of achieving zero defects.Conduct internal, ISO 13485 & 9001:2016, or supplier auditing when required.Support ISO 13485 & 9001:2016 certification and customer auditing.Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to develop timely, appropriate responses and alternate solutions to customer product problems and questions, while generating formal reports and corrective actions.Lead continuous improvement and other initiatives which require cross functional team.Create and implement company policies, procedures, specifications, and end user documentation. Immediately correct all documents where the written document differs from the actual practice.Advise on and/or oversee the implementation of product development workflows and production workflows.Work with engineering to address hardware/software concerns /upgrades as needed.Other responsibilities as assigned.Education & Experience:B.S. in Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.5+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and/or control of video/audio hardware and systems.Expertise in concurrent Engineering and Process Management principles, and ability to apply this knowledge in practice.Solid working knowledge of video-specific test equipmentSolid understanding and ability to identify and solve complex video and audio issues.Knowledgeable in high-speed video/audio/data transmission, digital video formats/specifications and products such as video analyzers, video scalers, video matrix switchers, video walls, etc.Knowledge of test methods, procedures, and equipment used to support the evaluation of our products, including mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing.Knowledge of hardware schematics.Ability to identify errors and anomalies and provide detailed reporting.Communicate changes in policies and procedures across departments in a clear, concise manner.Six Sigma Green belt certification preferred.Training in Lean/5S principles preferred.Skills & Abilities:Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to thrive in an energetic, fast pace, high growth, entrepreneurial environment.Strong team player who can build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.Ability to work with very little supervision, prioritize between multiple tasks, meet aggressive deadlines and work extended hours (as needed).Ability to analyze a multitude of technical issues and find effective, practical solutions quickly.Highly self-motivated for personal career growth.Willingness and demonstrated ability to self-learn and work in new technology domains.Detail-oriented team player with excellent documentation and communication skills.Benefits:Medical, vision and dental insurance401(k) with company match (100% of the first 4% in eligible compensation)Flexible Spending Account2 weeks paid vacation1 Week sick pay10 company holidaysVoluntary life insuranceCompensation:$100,000 - $125,000 annual salaryPay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
