Printing Press Operator

Job Duties

• Follow work instructions on job ticket

• Verify paper type/other document specifications

• Monitor quality of product being produced

• Deliver product to next routing area

• Replace toner when necessary.

• Adjust settings on computer software for press specifications and quality needs

· Highly detail oriented with critical degree of accuracy

· Must thrive in a deadline-driven work environment

· Notify management of any conditions that adversely affect product quality

· Learn color registration

· Responsible for general maintenance and housekeeping

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education Required

High School or equivilant

Minimum Experience Required

• Proficient in math and units of measurement

• Set up, control press and console operations

• Knowledge of color theory, common printing issues and troubleshooting

• A high personal standard of quality

• Responsible for performing machine make ready, achieving run speed standards, productivity efficiencies, and more importantly, achieving customer requirements and quality standards

• Good understanding of pre-press functions.

• Monitors the product for quality while minimizing waste and rework

• Ability to interact with team members in a professional manner

• Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team

• Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry up to as much as 60 pounds occasionally

• Able to work in a fast pace, high pressure environment

· Organization, prioritization, and time management skills

· Eagerness to work and learn, and comfortably handling a variety of responsibilities as they arise
