Press Brake Operator

A Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to precise specifications.


• Follow and execute work according to specified instructions, including sequence based controls, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Perform proper machine start up and shut down procedures.
• Set up, load, and operate brake or punch press equipment according to planned configurations.
• Evaluate product quality, identify issues, and take corrective actions to prevent external defects or dimensional problems.
• Select and use appropriate metal finishing tools (grinders, abrasives, etc.) to meet surface finish requirements.
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks.
• Use material control devices including fixtures, templates, and related tools.
• Maintain safe and responsible work practices at all times.


Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC press brakes, understanding machine controls, and performing basic programming if required
• Mathematical and Measurement Skills: Ability to perform basic math and geometry calculations for accurate bending and alignment
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality to ensure parts meet specifications
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments during production
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, handle heavy materials, and perform physically demanding tasks
  CNC programming for Press Brake is strongly preferred.
