Location Southern California Appointment Type Temporary Lecturer (Part Time, On-site) Position Overview Part‑time Lecturer in geological sciences at Cal Poly Pomona, teaching courses such as Oceanography, Meteorology, Engineering Geology, or Introduction to Geology. Positions available fall, spring, and possibly summer sessions during the 2026-27 academic year. Responsibilities Teach assigned division courses and conduct weekly office hours per unit load. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in geology or related discipline. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in geology or related discipline. Prior college/university level teaching experience and evidence of strong teaching. Industry experience. Salary and Benefits Initial rank and salary based on experience, not to exceed $6,221 per month. Full‑time (15 units) salaries prorated for units worked, paid in six monthly payments per semester.
