Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic contract role supporting students’ growth and development through physical therapy services in an educational setting. This opportunity offers a unique itinerant position focused on school-based evaluations and collaborative support, allowing you to make an impact on various campuses in the region.

What You’ll Bring:

Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and special education processes
Ability to travel between school sites for itinerant service delivery
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and student-centered approach
Dedication to conducting thorough, timely evaluations and crafting meaningful recommendations

What You’ll Do:

Provide expert evaluation and reevaluation services for students as referred by school teams
Work closely with teachers, school staff, and other specialists to support the educational and developmental needs of each student
Participate in Eligibility and IEP meetings, sharing insights that guide best practices for physical therapy in the school setting
Document assessment results and maintain required records in compliance with school and district requirements
Offer consultative guidance to classroom staff and families to maximize students’ functional independence
Adapt plans and interventions based on students’ unique needs across multiple schools
