Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Patient Food Services Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the patient services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and administrative support. This role involves supervising staff, resolving patient concerns, coordinating with clinical teams, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the patient services team.
  • Ensure smooth patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction and implement service improvements.

• Staff Management

  • Hire, train, and evaluate patient services staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Develop staff schedules and manage coverage for all shifts.

• Patient Relations

  • Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns promptly.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital departments.
  • Promote a patient-centered culture focused on empathy and responsiveness.

• Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports on patient services.
  • Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Collaboration

  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to coordinate care.
  • Support strategic initiatives to enhance patient experience.
  • Participate in cross-functional committees and improvement projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
