As a Security Officer in Oakland, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $30.16 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur08:45 AM - 05:15 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking areas, ATMs, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious persons, activity, or conditions according to site-specific procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed. Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Be able to lift more than 20 pounds preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
