This remote position focuses on providing integral mental health services to geriatric patients, particularly in our specialized Geriatric Care Clinic. Work Environment\n

This position offers a unique remote work setting while still allowing counselors to engage meaningfully with clients. Majority of your interactions will take place through virtual platforms, which require proficiency in telehealth methods and tools. Counselors will maintain regular office hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, ensuring a structured environment while offering flexibility in work arrangements. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored specifically for elderly clients, identifying individualized care needs and appropriate interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions to assist clients in navigating emotional difficulties related to aging, chronic illness, and transitions in their lives.

• Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and nursing staff, to develop and execute holistic care plans that address physical, emotional, and psychological needs of geriatric residents.

• Provide education and resources to families and staff members, enhancing their understanding of geriatric mental health issues and improving client support strategies.

• Lead grief and loss counseling discussions, helping clients and their families cope with the emotional repercussions of end-of-life challenges and loss.

• Implement cognitive stimulation initiatives and evidence-based mental health interventions aimed at preserving cognitive function and promoting overall mental health among older adults.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
