The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Maintaining clean, organized, and 5S-compliant stock areas across Stores, the Warehouse, and production storage facilities throughout the plant site. Safely operating material handling equipment and company vehicles to transport materials within and between plant buildings. Preparing and processing materials for shipment or transfer by packaging, labeling, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately. Supporting inventory and procurement processes, including labeling crates and containers with appropriate instructions and serving as a backup for purchase order execution. Driving continuous improvement by identifying solutions, eliminating waste, and actively participating in 5S, 5D problem-solving activities, and the Lean Management System. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws. Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution One (1) year of experience working in manufacturing, logistics, shipping, order processing, or a related operational role in a private, public, government of military environment. One (1) year of experience using computer-based systems for data entry, order management, inventory tracking, or similar business operations. ***Applicants meeting the basic qualification above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process..
