Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a telemetry setting License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: - Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration - Proficiency in telemetry monitoring - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases Description: The position requires a robust background in telemetry nursing. You will be working with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, dysrhythmias, and sepsis. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4-5. Experience with electronic health record systems (Epic) is required. You should be skilled in non-invasive airway management, IV administration, and wound care. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage various types of cardiac drips. Flexibility to float within the facility is essential. You will be expected to work major holidays and weekends as outlined in the position requirements. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start the position. This role will involve interdisciplinary support, collaborating with various healthcare professionals.
