Job Description
ROLE - SPECIALTY
Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NNICU)

SCHEDULE
Nights, 7p-7a, 36 hours - 3x12s, every other weekend, every other holiday

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS
- Currently licensed to practice professional nursing
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification required
- NRP certification required
- 2 years of experience in special care nursing of newborns
- Experience in couplet care and NNICU (Level II)
- Delivery attendance experience

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates during high-risk deliveries and in a Level-2 nursery.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care appropriate to the patient population.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify nursing care plans for patients and families.
- Supervise and delegate selected activities to unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of practice.
- Participate in unit and hospital projects aimed at improving patient care.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to meet care objectives.
- Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
- Document nursing findings and evaluations in accordance with organizational policies.
